You know something?! We're animals! Not only that: we're proud animals! And for good reason, because we're great at that, just like the rest of our fellow creatures. As animals we are prone to evolution, whether we like it or not (although let's get real for a moment: who doesn't like a bit of evolving every other day to sparkle the daily routine?!). Each passing experience and each fleeting thought are helping us make a step farther, but closer to our next version of ourselves. If you want a geeky way of phrasing it, I can tell you that we're being constantly upgraded to exceed the initial parameters of our programming and eventually become entities with unforeseeable thinking patterns. But now I can see that you don't like that. I'm really sorry. Let's go back to the biological perspective and just agree that we're evolving.
We do it incrementally and not always to our own benefit, unfortunately - we're dumb that way. We absorb whatever and become whoever. But sometimes we can close our eyes (not while driving though, let's be clear on that) and have a saying about the currents we are willing to let ourselves drift upon. We can be active participants in building our own path. We don't even have to worry about the design, because we will know instinctually when to go left, or right, or even when a tunnel is necessary - we're smart that way. So if we follow our raw guidelines and have the courage to act upon that which feels right, then we're carbon. (You thought I'll say 'gold' didn't you?! Gotcha).
So let the adventure of your (biological) evolution begin, on your path to that just as exquisite future self.
Buildings, machines and social chaos. The recipe which can sometimes lead to forgetfulness, when we need to be reminded that life is not as complicated as we might think at times. Behind great things are simple messages, which stand at the core of whatever makes us tick.
Oh, but when did we get so serious?! You know what I mean. I'm talking about those moments when you are waking up in the morning, ready to conquer all the worlds you are willing to create, because you're still groggy from sleep. But just when you're about to play games with your favorite imaginary friends (and even those that dare to exist), you begin to realize you're in the 'real' world, with 'real' problems and all other 'real' elements. And then your superhero cape is vanishing and you put on your uniform. But hey! It's the other way around altogether. Your real self is that quirky kid that is willing to fight without violence, to win without malice, to laugh without restraints and to jump around with just the right amount of respect towards gravity.
Life may be short, but only when you don't let yourself enjoy the moments without filters. So go ahead and put that cape back on! Wait until the wind blows just right to favor your overly-dramatic posture and say hello to the world where you belong!
I told them to stay home!
They just wouldn't listen. But one can never fight with a stubborn lion and one just as majestic rhino. They just settled their mind to go ahead and cross the distances in a colossal effort to witness the northern lights. In their journey they even inhaled the mountain spirit that offers them a new understanding of the world.
But just wait until they reach their destination! I bet the rhino will cry first and only then will the pompous lion start whining like a cub when the green night sky starts to resonate with their softer side.
I was confronted today with a casual creative Thursday, so naturally I had the time to throw myself head-on in the land of digital playfulness. I walked a bit through a forest and I stumbled upon these funny guys that had something to tell me in secret.
If you want to make them famous on social media, I'm sure they wouldn't mind the attention (they might even adopt a formal attire if they are invited to parties).
